This is the place for discussing things in an organized fashion. Discussions can cover a number of areas, although the intent initially is to support improving the world. Such as discussions over analysis, plans, efforts, concepts, facts, and also opinions.

Although there will be refinements with further development, the current planned systems for managing discussions work with differing grades of statements, and how to determine this. This would be discussions, some of which necessarily are limited to facts, but where when a hypothesis is used, this can be filtered, varied by user preferences and social network. So, if a friend for example is submitting this comment, I would (by my preferences) include this in my view. If someone that I do not know, but is either publicly, or by anybody in my social network, labelled an idiot makes a hypothesis or supposition or whatever, I do not include that in my view (by default preferences, there may be other filters that indicate to include the comment).

Comments that are excluded by set preferences in a users' view, can be viewed as desired. And they may come into view at a later time, if other criteria are met (such as a friend made a positive comment or rating on it).

There is also integration of text, video, and other media, along with human language translation facilities...

Facilities also provide that parts of the discussion can be rewoven as importance or value is clear of the parts and this enhances the discussion. This will allow the discussion to proceed faster than normal.

Some discussions can be limited in participation, although generally the main consideration initially is on public discussion. Limitation can be to specific persons, or groups, and can include requirements for specific certification(s), and/or passing specific tests.

Nicest is the systems should knock out all spam and non-sense before participants waste their time reading it. (Except voluntary periodic reviews by volunteers looking for anything legitimate that was erroneously filtered out.
