The information below (if any) is probably still valid, just not in the right place, unnecessarily duplicating information elsewhere on the site, or needs to be expanded, corrected, or something.

The intent here is to (soon) provide quick and effective information for anyone needing help. The meaning here is not finding the right business, directions, or basic instructions. This is more about people who are suffering in some way, and need help from others to end or reduce the problem. Definitely as extreme as regions being bombed, and slavery, but also including situations causing people to have an undesirable something in their life and who need change.

This is not intended to be a universal first step, and for all dire emergencies, it is expected that people should be familiar with where to find that information (police, fire, ambulance, emergency contacts).

Please enter the information in the topic mentioned below, and be patient. Let's hope in time somebody comes up with a good idea to help. The members of this site certainly will give up any ideas they come up with.

Coming soon is a search system in the efforts known to fej.org. Enabling people to quickly find the most effective help with what they need.

Additionally, for other websites a system to embed in their sites a search/browse for in their area and/or field. Fully customizable, and focusing on specific areas as appropriate for the hosting website.

For immediate dire emergencies, look for help elsewhere. For all other situations needing help, especially if looking and not finding, enter the need you have in the topic help request, or specifically for money see the topic funding request.

Helping people is about people who already exist, or will exist in the near future, and is targeted at a specific group or people with a certain characteristic, problem, or condition. Quite often very specific and discriminatory in targeting. Generally can be seen more as a clean up operation, for victims of problems, in contrast to improving the world - or better said preventing that people will come to need help, and for those conditions that can not be prevented, that the victims/etc. can best be supported cared for, and fit in.

Ways to join in helping people :

• determine who you want to help, what condition, problem, etc.
  
• and for each group, what do you want to help them with - what goal(s) are to be reached?
  

• search for efforts that already exist, consider joining in, supporting, etc.
• share on the internet your research and work, and also keep updates on supporting and working with existing efforts.

As it may seem necessary or if desired :

• start a new effort

Consider also other efforts that are related but more related to long term, see if there is some tie in.
