There are two major ways of being part of the problem. Pretty much any kind of problem, however the focus here is large scale problems of the world.

The first way is contributing to the problem. This can be either directly, or indirectly. Directly is actions you take or don't take that contribute to the problem. Indirectly are things such as supporting others who are part of the problem, financially, by particular activities, or encouragement or acceptance of them being part of the problem.

The second way is not doing something to resolve the problem, either self directly, as part of a group, or assisting others.

Examples of contributing to the problem.

One area of contributing to the climate change problem would be adding greenhouse gasses to the atmosphere. Using a fuel burning car as an example, if you own and use such a car, you are directly contributing to the problem. Hiring a taxi would be an indirect contribution, but one in which you are responsible for the contribution to the problem. Getting a ride from someone, depending on the circumstances, would be partially, maybe entirely, your responsibility. Being accepting of someone, whether friend, family, acquaintance, or stranger, owning and using such a car would be an indirect contribution, but basically not your responsibility.

Another example would be contributing to slavery of humans. Here, there are a number of more direct contributions, such as being a slave owner, or purchasing products or services produced with slave labor, partial or entirely. Indirect contributions would be things such as, being accepting of of someone who is a slave owner, or purchases such products or services. Also, being part of a society that trades with a country or group that allows slavery, especially without diligent efforts to change that, would be an indirect contribution.

Also important to being less a part of the problem are the following things.

Sharing information, as described in that topic. Information to share :

Gathering and accepting suggestions on how to change, whether on your existing plans and efforts to change, or new ones. For anything you do not understand or feel is valuable or correct, give feedback to the source, and work with them until you understand or can find value in their suggestions.

Compete with everyone, including friends, family, and so on. This is not only by sharing what you are doing, but also reviewing what others are doing, and considering doing the same.

THIS SITE IS BEING REVAMPED.

This page needs to be rebuilt to bring it into sync with the rest of the site.

The information below (if any) is probably still valid, just not in the right place, unnecessarily duplicating information elsewhere on the site, or needs to be expanded, corrected, or something.

There probably is also further information, not currently visible that will be reviewed, finished, and revealed.
